Pin Point provides round-the-clock 2:1 support for a young adult male diagnosed with learning difficulties and autism. Two support workers are in place during the day and two waking night staff overnight, every day. Our team delivers personal care, domestic support and regularly scheduled community activities as part of his structured daily routine.
Before Pin Point became involved, the client was facing compounding pressures: geographic barriers to recruiting suitable local staff with the necessary experience; a requirement for all workers to hold PRICE model physical intervention training, a specialist qualification not widely held; the complexity of the service user's needs meant a standard pool of workers was entirely unsuitable; and inconsistency in the care team was affecting his stability, behaviour and daily routine. The client needed an agency that could recruit the right people quickly, invest in proper training, and maintain the consistency the service user required.

We took a targeted, invested approach from the start: - Recruited specifically for candidates with backgrounds in learning disabilities, autism, mental health and behaviours that challenge - Conducted robust compliance and suitability checks for every worker prior to placement - Invested directly in PRICE training for our entire workforce on this package, at our own cost, so all staff followed the same physical intervention model as the client's internal team - Assigned a dedicated Account Manager to oversee the package, maintain regular communication with the client and ensure consistent service standards were met
The results have been significant and sustained: a noticeable reduction in destructive and challenging behaviours, fewer recorded incidents and a reduced need for reactive interventions, improved confidence across the care team, and a safer, more structured environment for the service user. Most significantly, Pin Point's coverage has grown from initially providing 50% of the staffing requirement to now delivering full coverage across the package, with the client continuing to work with us as their trusted, sole staffing partner.
